1. Overview
These Terms & Conditions apply to all purchases made from Big Box Flooring, whether online, in-store, or by phone.
By placing an order with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. We recommend that you read them carefully before purchasing.
2. Company Information
Big Box Flooring is a trading name of Carrigaline Furniture & Carpet Centre Ltd, an independent Irish company based in Carrigaline, Co. Cork.
All contracts of sale are made with Carrigaline Furniture & Carpet Centre Ltd trading as Big Box Flooring.

3. Products & Availability
All products are subject to availability.
We take care to ensure product descriptions, specifications, and pricing are accurate. However, minor variations in colour, texture, and finish may occur, particularly with natural materials such as wood, carpets, and stone-effect flooring.
We reserve the right to correct any errors or inaccuracies and to withdraw any product from sale without notice.
4. Pricing & Payment
All prices are shown in euros (€) and include VAT unless otherwise stated.
We reserve the right to change prices at any time, but changes will not affect orders already confirmed.
Payments are processed securely through third-party payment providers. We do not store full card payment details on our systems.
5. Orders
All orders are subject to acceptance and availability.
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where:
- A product is unavailable
- A pricing or product error has occurred
- Payment cannot be authorised
- We suspect fraudulent activity
If an order is cancelled by us, you will not be charged or will receive a full refund.
6. Delivery
We aim to deliver all orders as efficiently and safely as possible.
Local Delivery (Within 20km)
- Free delivery within 20km of our Carrigaline showroom
- Delivered by our own delivery team
- Free assembly is available on eligible items
- Packaging is removed and responsibly recycled where applicable
Nationwide Delivery
- Available throughout Ireland
- Flooring (laminate, SPC, hardwood) is delivered at a flat rate of €60 per order
- Furniture, beds, and mattresses are delivered via trusted courier partners
- Courier deliveries are typically curbside only
Delivery Partners
We use trusted third-party logistics providers to fulfil deliveries. Your name, address, and contact details may be shared with these providers solely for the purpose of delivering your order. Delivery dates are estimates only and may be affected by factors outside our control.
7. Click & Collect
Click & Collect is available free of charge.
- Orders must be collected from our Carrigaline showroom
- You will be notified when your order is ready
- Identification may be required at collection
8. Returns & Refunds
Returns are governed by our separate Returns & Refunds Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
This includes:
- Online returns (14-day cancellation period where applicable)
- Flooring returns (30-day unopened stock rule)
- Mattress hygiene restrictions
- Special-order and custom product exclusions

9. Flooring Installation Responsibility
Customers are responsible for inspecting all flooring products before installation.
Once flooring has been installed, it is deemed accepted. Installed flooring cannot be returned or exchanged due to:
- Shade or batch variation
- Installation errors
- Suitability concerns that would have been apparent prior to fitting
10. Special Orders & Custom Products
Special-order, made-to-measure, or customised products cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded unless faulty.
This includes (but is not limited to):
- Custom carpets
- Special-order furniture
- Non-stock or factory-order flooring and goods
11. Customer Data & Privacy
We process personal data in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018 (Ireland).
Carrigaline Furniture & Carpet Centre Ltd trading as Big Box Flooring is the Data Controller for your personal data.
We collect and use your data to:
- Process and fulfil orders
- Arrange delivery and collection
- Provide customer service and support
- Maintain accounting and legal records
- Send marketing communications (only where consent has been given)
Service Providers
We may share your data with trusted third parties, including:
- Delivery and logistics partners (for order fulfilment)
- Payment processors (for secure transaction processing)
- CRM systems and customer management tools
- IT and email service providers
All third parties are required to process data securely and only for the purposes we instruct. These providers act as data processors under GDPR and process personal data only on our instructions.
We do not sell personal data.
12. Liability
We are not responsible for:
- Delays caused by third-party couriers or delivery partners
- Installation carried out by third parties
- Damage occurring after delivery and acceptance of goods
- Any indirect or consequential loss, except where required by law
Our liability is limited to the value of the goods purchased, except where otherwise required under Irish or EU consumer law.
13. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights under Irish or EU consumer law.
14. Intellectual Property
All content on our website, including images, text, branding, and design, is the property of Big Box Flooring and may not be used without permission.
15. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time.
The latest version will always be published on our website and will apply from the date of publication.
16. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Ireland. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of the Irish courts.
